In addition, mock battles and gun salutes were held.

Beside is shown one of the many firing demonstrations with Colonials, Continentals, Yankees, Confederates and WWII Army living history participants.  The command: "Gentlemen, after the first volley, fire at will!" (One of the shirkers replied, "Who's Will?").  Included were members of the Northern Colorado Fife and Drum Corps, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the 10th Mountain Division.

Finally, shown here is the hilarious annual "Battle Skit" presented with the COSSAR Color Guard, the Wolves of Dunraven (aka Renaissance Scots), and the Northern Colorado Fife & Drum Corps participating.
